DPRD Trail Series

The best non-perishable foods to donate:

  1. canned beans
  2. dry beans
  3. peanut butter, or other nut butters
  4. rolled oats
  5. canned fruit in juice, not in light or heavy syrup
  6. canned vegetables
  7.  soups
  8. canned tuna in water
  9. canned chicken
  10. brown rice
  11. shelf stable milk and milk substitutes
  12.  pasta
  13.  pasta sauce
  14. canned stews
  15. unsweetened apple sauce
  16.  cold cereals
  17. olive or canola oil
  18. canned tomatoes
  19. chicken, beef and vegetable broths and stock.


Haig Mill Lake Park

We have two options for our Goblin Chase this year.

Runners can choose to either run virtually by running Haig Mill Park anytime between Oct. 11-16th and show results when bringing a food item(s) to shirt pick up or race the morning of Saturday Oct. 17th. 

Shirt pick up for virtual will be Monday and Tuesday October 19th and 20th, 4:00pm-8:00pm

Goblin Chase race on Oct 17th will be limited to 200 runners.


We ask that participants wear a mask and observe social distancing at check-in and at the start line.   You do not need to wear a mask while running.

Check in will be 6:00am-7:30am

Race to begin at 8:00am


This 4 mile run is free  with your donation of nonperishable food item(s) for Dalton's food banks. 

Online registration is from September 9th through October 9th.  

There will not be an aid station.  Must bring own hydration!!!

Shirts will be given at check-in/registration.

Please note:

Haig mill is a gently rolling wide trail with some rocks and roots.

Strollers and bikes are not allowed during race and dogs are not allowed on the park premises 

  We ask that you respect the woods and do not litter. 

Race day awards will be mailed to the first Male and Female overall 

No awards will be given for virtual
