Congratulations to our friends at Dalton State as they played their last game and won the 2015 NAIA National Championship.
You won’t want to miss the excitement as we celebrate their return to Dalton. Here are a couple of ways that you can celebrate their victory!
Wednesday Homecoming: Greet the Roadrunners as they return to Dalton tonight, Wednesday, March 25, 7 p.m. at the Bell Tower at Dalton State College. If you can’t make it to the campus, line up along College Drive beginning at Walnut Avenue to cheer for the team as the buses drive to campus.
Parade this Friday: Cheer for the Roadrunners on Friday, March 27, 6 p.m. for a parade in Downtown Dalton. The parade will begin and end at the Dalton Depot with a presentation of accolades and Key to the City. We understand the parade route will be Hamilton Street, King Street, Pentz Street and Crawford Street with the start and finish at the circle in front of the Dalton Depot. Everyone is welcome to enter a float. There is no charge, but please call the Downtown Dalton Development Authority at 706-278-3332 to register!
Let’s celebrate this victory for the team, coaches, all those that supported them by participating at one of both of these events.
The John Davis Recreation Building (main rec. on Civic Dr)
will be closed March 24th-March 28th for remodeling.
All activities/sports will still go on as scheduled.
